Tracy Thomas Jenkins, 52, continued her journey of life with her passing on Sunday, surrounded by her family. Her loss here on earth has caused great sorrow to all who loved her. However, it is a comfort to us to know that we now have a messenger in heaven. There, Tracy will be waiting for us with open arms to once again embrace us with her love as we too embark on the same journey. Tracy had many talents, including a wonderful eye for interior design.
With matching colors and carefully selected decorations,
she managed to transform four white walls into a beautiful oasis for all to enjoy. She was a fantastic cook and especially loved making her famous chicken nuggets for her children.
Tracy also had a talent for lighting up a room. Even in difficult situations, she was quick to crack a joke or make a funny comment to lighten the mood. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her family. One of her greatest joys was a trip to West Virginia, where she would stay in a cabin with her family and play cards for money or an intense game of CLR. Ultimately, Tracy would teach us an important lesson about the importance of family and keeping those who truly love you close. Tracy is survived by Erick Jenkins and siblings
Tammy (Joseph) Wycherley, Paul (Jill) Thomas, Ted Thomas, and Terri (Steve) Shaver. Tracy’s life was celebrate with a prayer service and rosary at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown, follow by a funeral Mass and rosary at Our Lady of Peace on Mount Olivet in Wheeling, West Virginia. She was laid to rest on August 14, 2021, next to her godson Jack Wycherley. The funeral service was officiat by Rev. Joseph Mando Kara.

What are military funerals and a funeral ceremony?
Military honors at a funeral include the playing of the tattoo, a rifle corps, an honor guard, and uniformed soldiers skillfully folding the American flag and presenting it to the grieving family. To be eligible for the mourning flag, the veteran or reservist must meet at least one of the following descriptions:
• Served in war
• Served after January 31, 1955
Served in peacetime and left military service before June 27, 1950, after at least one tour of duty, or due to a disability caused or aggravated by their active military service
What is a funeral benefit and how do I apply for it?
Veterans’ death benefits cover the costs of funeral, burial, and transportation associated with the care and support of the deceased. Survivors buried in a national cemetery may receive assistance with funeral expenses, burial or cremation, and transportation of the veteran’s remains for burial.
You must apply for non-service-connected funeral assistance within two years of the veteran’s burial or cremation.
