Linda L. Sallurday, 79, of State College, joined her loving family on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Mt Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield.
She is survived by her daughter Mrs K. Sallurday of Simpsonville, South Carolina; her grandchildren, Matthew Lutz; Ashlee Lutz (Foreman) and her husband Logan; Katelyn Lutz; Christopher Sallurday; Thomas Sallurday; Anna Sallurday; her great-grandchildren Ronald Lutz; Gabriel Foreman; and Dominic Foreman.
Karen Starck Obituary
Karen L. Starck, 80, of Clearfield, Pennsylvania, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025, at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Karen graduated from St. Francis High School in Clearfield.
Starck, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lance, Pennsylvania. Together they raised their daughter, Jennifer.
She worked for 16 years at the Clearfield County Courthouse as a probate clerk and clerk of the court.
Karen loved nature and enjoyed bird watching. Her flower garden was fill with flowers of all kinds, including poppies and tree lilies that were three feet tall or more. Fortunately, Karen, also known as “Ninny” by her grandchildren, has passed on her cake-baking skills to her grandchildren, a skill they greatly appreciate. When not baking cakes, Karen spent her time playing various card games with her family and friends, shopping at the mall, or enjoying a glass of wine on her patio in the evening.
She is survive by her husband of nearly 50 years, her daughter Jennifer (Bryon) Whipkey of Wexford, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren: Alec Whipkey of Decatur, Illinois; Grace Whipkey of Lawrenceville, Pennsylvania; Alaina Whipkey and Sara Whipkey, both of Wexford, Pennsylvania.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 24 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Clearfield. The Rev. Robert Horgas will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Clearfield.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, July 24 from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at Bennett & Houser Funeral Home, Inc.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that condolences be sent to the Clearfield SPCA, 275 21st Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.

Linda M. Burge, 79, of (Gearhartville) RD Philipsburg, passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
Linda was born on May 4, 1946 in Philipsburg, the daughter of the late Samuel C. “Sam” and Betty (Frelin) Croyle.
She graduated from Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School.
Linda worked as a cake decorator for various businesses in the area throughout her career. She began her career at the former Fitzgibbons Cake Shop. She then worked for Bi-Lo and County Market, all three of which were formerly located in Philipsburg. Later in her career, she worked at Houtzdale Shop ‘n Save and remained there until her retirement.
Linda married S. Eugene “Babe” Burge on September 4, 1964 in Cumberland, Maryland. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2023. gant daily obituaries

He was born April 29, 1928, in DuBois, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Dennis B. and Florence (Reinard) Christian, Sr.
On July 23, 1949, he marry his wife Belva Jean (Sturm) Christian, to whom he was marry for 66 years
He graduated from Sandy High School in 1947.
Dennis retired after a career spanning 50 years as a dispatcher at Triangle Springs.
He was a former member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Methodist Men and Sunday School Superintendent. Dennis, along with his late wife Belvie, was a member of Gateway Squares, a square dance club
He is survived by his son (Allen Christian of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) and daughter (Greta Notto of Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania), two step-grandchildren (Mark and Greg Notto), and two step-great-grandchildren (Natasha and Amanda).
In addition to his wife, Dennis was preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers, and a son-in-law, Louis Notto.
